Vals & Ruinaulta

One last week-end was to be spent away from the modern city life with all its decisions and full schedules. Making the most of our GA's, we took the train/bus to Vals to relax in style in Zumthor's spa. Pure local quartzite design nestled in the midst of beautiful mountains and Alpine meadows.
quiet, water, sun, Alps, quartzite - relaxing
In the evening, we took the bus to Schluein where we stayed the night in a beautiful little wooden house. Very cosy. After some tasty dinner (freshly hunted deer) in Sagogn, we happily fell asleep for continuous 12 hours. Relaxing its tough… :)

After all that sleeping, we took the bus to lake of Cauma where enjoyed a sunny Sunday morning having breakfast at the shore of the lake, taking the "pedalo" on a tour across the lake.

Thereafter we walked down into the gorge called Ruinaulta where had lunch at the pebbly beach watching the canoes and kayaks drifting downriver.
