Orientario 2016

After all these years with no Orientario, an invitation appeared out of the blue. Naturally, I got all excited about bushbashing through Swiss thorny shrubs and forest for a week-end (especially if I don't need to organize a thing ;)). It started rainy on Saturday morning but soon improved and stayed sunny for the remaining time. Well what is there to say really? Compass, thorns, meeting hunters (with freshly shot deer), walking down and up steep gullies, taking roads where agriculture seemed to still alive, encountering mud, cooking over the fire, chatting, spending some neat time with friends. The campsite for the night was right next to a small fish pond and we had a lovely fire going. Good times!
uphill through forest and rain
clearing weather and lunch break
full sun shine at afternoon break
stocking up / savoring local goodies at a farm store

campsite for the night
campfire
sunny Sunday morning on track
bushbashing down into steep gully
in the middle of the forest
last stretch of easy bushbashing before civilization
