winter impressions

Life's been super busy between Turkey and Switzerland and picking up my studies in Zurich to finish the teaching degree (all next to work, naturally). Everyonce in a while, I managed to venture into the beautiful Swiss snow land. The highlight so far: 3 days skiing in Zermatt including an excursion to the Italian Cervinia side and a 3-hours course on telemark skiing! The later caught my bro's and my interest - we are gonna (slowly) hit the slopes again on telemarks.
Close to home:
a regular commute from work to home
day trip to Gruyère
view during one of the abundant car trips for work
 from airplane:
when flying to Istanbul
special attention to Churfirsten! :)
Eastern Switzerland:
sledging for over 10km
spending a relaxed night at a friend's cabin
skiing!
Bietschhorn seen from Lauchernalp - always a sight!
early bird :)
leaving Zermatt village behind
please meet: Matterhorn
skis somewhere up above 3000masl
view towards lots of glaciers and peaks above 4000masl
more stunningness on a very crisp morning
escaping to Italian Cervinia side for some sun!
and good food and excellent espresso!
back to nasty weather on Swiss side
trip home in Glacier Express
savoring local food on trip home
Fortunately, the season isn't entirely over just yet and there is more skiing to come :)
