Adamello Conference

After handing in the MSc thesis, it was finally time to travel to Northern Italy. The Adamello Conference took place in the picturesque town of Bagolino nestled in the steep Southern Alps. The event involved pre- and post-conference field trips. Altogether it was an outstanding event: talk in a former oratorio with splendid acoustics, poster session in a church, lots of discussions, fine Italian food. As everybody was staying in the village of Bagolino, participants usually met after dinner in one of the local bars to have another coffee, ice cream, grappa... and discuss geology and life. Great times! And so good to be back in the Adamello and out in the field at last!
