Nightshift at the RC rig

My last couple of days at work were spent supervising a RC drill program at night. We started working at 7pm and the shift ended at 7am. Unfortunately, it rained every single night the first night being the worst. The second night we even enjoyed the odd clear sky providing the opportunity to take in the stunning Malian sky with above average frequency of shooting stars! All in all, it was a great finish for my time spent in exploration because RC drilling is probably one of the tasks I had liked most. Working together with local crews (samplers and drillers), facing unknown problems with the drill rigs and weather etc, keeping up with the drill progress, logging the chips, interpreting the sections, actually feeling tired at the end of the day... Good times.
