I think it is general knowledge that I absolutely love big mining equipment... So, the other day I got the absolutely amazing chance to go spent some quality (non-geological) time at the pit. It involved climbing up an excavator and sitting next to the operator whilst he was loading tons of ore onto a truck. I then rode on a truck from the bottom of the pit all the way up to the stockpile. Last, but not least, we watched a hard-rock blast! How flipping awesome is that?! :)
