For the past weeks breakfast and lunch was a somewhat quiet event because the muslims (majority on site) had breakfast before sunrise and didn't eat, drink or smoke during the day (no matter whether we spent the day working in the office or logging core in the humid rainy season heat). Dinner on the other hand turned out to be a daily feast! Working hours were adapted to the strict eating and praying times.
Eid al-Fitr. Ramadan come to an end.
Time for extended socializing and enduldging in sacrificied pleasures for a while (with the families in Bamako, of course).
